You remember? From that show that didn’t get picked up, Heavenly, about the angel turned human called Dashiel and the human he falls in love with? And the fact he is clearly Dean and Castiel’s love child.
Well, I was thinking that since they made the pilot there must be footage of it somewhere, and there is. It’s only a very short clip in the lead actors showreel.
But here it is, you’ll know it’s the clip because it also stars Lauren Cohen (Bela Talbot):

Notice the dialogue…does it remind you of something? Like maybe things Castiel has said to Dean? Yeah. Also, the writer of Heavenly is also a co-producer on Supernatural.
Yup, it was definitely the story of Dean and Cas’ angel love child. WHY DIDN’T THEY PICK IT UP!?!?
Starry starry night, paint your palette blue and grey / Look out on a summer’s day, with eyes that know the darkness in my soul / Now I understand, what you tried to say to me / And how you suffered for your sanity / And how you tried to set them free / They would not listen they did not know how, perhaps they’ll listen now / And when no hope was left in sight, on that starry starry night / You took your life as lovers often do, / But I could have told you, Vincent, / This world was never meant for one as beautiful as you.

I think part of why it was good was because Castiel and Bobby were in it, that’s how I like it.
SPOILERS BEYOND THIS POINT*
The episode did feel rushed though, just like every episode with any actual plot content this season. I don’t understand why they made so much filler and then rushed the stuff we actually wanted to know about. It was so interesting and they could’ve told us more and did a better job. Guess we’ll just have to hope Carver can give us a better season 8.
Ya know, I didn’t even really watch most of this season. Some I watched, some I skipped through and some I just read the spoilers for afterwards. It is definitely the lamest season on record. But I digress…
It was a good episode because it focused on plot and I like plot…beyond that I’ve nothing really to say. I sorta need my passionate love for this show to be rekindled next season.
P.S. I do love, love that Dean and Cas are in Purgatory and I hope they take a good few episodes next season to explore that and the environment in Purgatory and the different beasts. That is what is REALLY interesting to me and I felt like in season 6 and 7 they built up what could’ve been interesting stories (Eve, Godstiel etc) and then just used a quick plot device to make it go away, so I hope this isn’t once again the case.

SO ONCE UPON A TIME, I FIRST MET YOUR DADDY IN HELL WHEN HE RESCUED ME AND BROUGHT ME BACK TO LIFE. THEN WE FELL IN LOVE ON EARTH WHILE WE WERE TRYING TO STOP AN APOCALYPSE THAT ME AND YOUR UNCLE SAM STARTED.
Lol, this is pretty good.
the only problem i had was that they had to show Cas leaving in order to give the effect that Dean is alone~
#even though it’s obvious Cas didn’t really leave or anything #i’m just bugged the show feels the need to show that for their desired effects #ONLY PROBLEM THO
YES SAME. i feel like a lot of people are gonna say that cas deserted dean BUT OBVIOUSLY NOT ;oaiweyaw still i freaked
