You remember? From that show that didn’t get picked up, Heavenly, about the angel turned human called Dashiel and the human he falls in love with? And the fact he is clearly Dean and Castiel’s love child.
Well, I was thinking that since they made the pilot there must be footage of it somewhere, and there is. It’s only a very short clip in the lead actors showreel.
But here it is, you’ll know it’s the clip because it also stars Lauren Cohen (Bela Talbot):

Notice the dialogue…does it remind you of something? Like maybe things Castiel has said to Dean? Yeah. Also, the writer of Heavenly is also a co-producer on Supernatural.
Yup, it was definitely the story of Dean and Cas’ angel love child. WHY DIDN’T THEY PICK IT UP!?!?
Sam’s face says it all - You really do love him, Dean. You really love Cas.
Okay seriously, I have this theory that Sam really reallyknows, and he hurts for Dean and Cas and wishes things could just be easier between them. AKA… in my headcanon he ships Destiel as hard as we do. And that theory gives me more feels than I can handle.
SAM WINCHESTER IS THE ULTIMATE DESTIEL SHIPPER
Sam knows it. He’s known since the first time he saw the two of them together.
Sam is the biggest Destiel shipper out of all of us. He just wants his brother to be happy. He sees how happy Cas makes/made Dean, and that in return makes him happy.
At least in my mind…
Dean is so bare and raw here, he usually never allows himself to get like that. Sam just looks so sorry that Dean has to go through this, he sees how deeply he loves Cas. Ya know, Sam and Bobby didn’t want to tell Dean until they were sure Cas was up to something, why is that? As a hunter Dean should be able to handle it, but they know he can’t. It is definitely because they know the true extent of his love for Cas.
Starry starry night
For they could not love you
But still your love was true
And when no hope was left inside
On that starry starry night
You took your life as lovers often do
But I could have told you,
Vincent,
This world was never meant for one as beautiful as you

Let’s not let people think those negative thoughts are the majority opinion! Speak up for Castiel and Destiel! <3

Dean leaned in to kiss Castiel…
… his heart pounding in his chest…
Their lips met in a blaze of passion, sparks flew around them. Suddenly Dean broke contact, “I know this is exciting, but did you have to blow the lights, Cas?”
Starry starry night, paint your palette blue and grey / Look out on a summer’s day, with eyes that know the darkness in my soul / Now I understand, what you tried to say to me / And how you suffered for your sanity / And how you tried to set them free / They would not listen they did not know how, perhaps they’ll listen now / And when no hope was left in sight, on that starry starry night / You took your life as lovers often do, / But I could have told you, Vincent, / This world was never meant for one as beautiful as you.

I really, really liked that line. It told us something rather important.
In the same vein as “I destroyed everything before, and I will destroy everything again” we see that Cas doesn’t not leap into the fray because he’s a coward. He’s not scared of fighting again, not….exactly. He doesn’t fear pain, or death, or conflict for all the normal reasons.
Cas doesn’t want to fight, because the last time he fought, he hurt everyone. He hurt Dean. He hurt the world.
He’s not good luck. And if the best way he can keep Dean, keep everyone, safe is to play twister, and watch the bees, then that is what he’ll do. Because he can’t stand to hurt Dean again.
That’s why he went with Crowley in the first place. To protect Dean. To give Dean the normal life he wanted.
He has this weakness, you see. He likes Dean.
The angel in the dirty trenchcoat who is in love with Dean.
And Dean doesn’t care, because he’s cursed too, and he just wants his angel back.
I love that Cas always stands on the left and Dean on the right!

7X23 - Dean/Castiel song - Starry starry night (Vincent)
Because Dean only realised he couldn’t live without Castiel after he was gone. Just like with Vincent and people not realising his genius until after his death.

Did anyone else find this line particularly hilarious considering Cas had recently showed up on Dean’s car naked and covered in bees?
