THIS! Also, I didn’t see Dean rushing to kill Sam when he became SATAN’S VESSEL. They tried every possible alternative first. Of course they did. Same for when things looked grim for Dean and Bobby even. They did everything they could, they didn’t give up on each other. But Cas is ‘like is a brother to them’ who they would ‘die for’ and the first and only solution they come up with is “let’s kill him”. Again BEFORE he even became Godstiel. Geez, they tried to kill him at least 3 times before he actually even ‘died’ lol Whatever man

And since we’re on that, can we lighten up over the Sam!wall thing? Not forget it, just see the whole picture. SAM STABBED CAS WITH AN ANGEL BLADE IN THE BACK RIGHT AFTER HE KILLED RAPHAEL AND SAVED THE WORLD AND WAS ONLY TALKIN’ TO DEAN. But I guess that’s fine. nbd.
